NHS app users wishing to use the app to prove their Covid status for travel previously had to generate a new Covid Pass every 30 days.
Covid Pass barcodes codes are now valid for 180 days, the NHS confirmed in an update to its Covid Pass guidance this week.
The NHS Covid Pass allows people to show proof of vaccination against Covid-19 or recovery from the virus, or evidence of a negative test for Covid-19.
Printed copies of the Covid Pass, available on request from the NHS, are also now valid for six months.
