The line reported a “record-breaking” number of bookings made from 15 December 2022 to 6 March 2023 – although did not release any further sales data to substantiate its claim.
P&O Cruises revealed its most popular destination was the Norwegian fjords, while the Caribbean and western Mediterranean were also performing strongly.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said it was “particularly encouraging” to see new-to-cruise guests being attracted by the line due to its “excellent value for money, fantastic destinations and unique experience”.
The news comes ahead of P&O Cruises naming Arvia, its second liquefied natural gas-powered Excel-class ship, in Barbados on Thursday (16 March) with performer Nicole Scherzinger previously revealed as the vessel’s godmother.
Scherzinger is also set to create “spectacular music and dance extravaganzas” for the line as part of an exclusive entertainment partnership.
