More than 1,000 UK and Irish trade partners will get the chance to experience Beyond across two two-night showcases cruises from Southampton this week.
Speaking to TTG onboard, Rzymowska said having the vessel sailing its maiden voyage on Wednesday (27 April) from Southampton “means an enormous amount” after a UK mini season and naming ceremony for sister ship Celebrity Apex was cancelled at the onset of the pandemic in spring 2020.
She said Celebrity’s president and chief executive Lisa Lutoff-Perlo “truly knows how much the UK trade supports us” and was “determined” to bring Beyond to UK shores after Apex’s visit was shelved.
Asked during a press and trade conference onboard the ship on Sunday (24 April) when an Edge-class vessel would sail an eagerly anticipated Southampton season, Rzymowska told the audience to “watch this space”.
She reiterated her ambitions to secure an ex-UK Edge season, having told TTG earlier this month it would "make absolute sense".
Although no definitive timeline was offered, Lutoff-Perlo added: “We have a couple more of these [Edge ships] coming, so we’ll see – we never say never."
Rzymowska told TTG having the opportunity to showcase Beyond to so many agent partners close to home was “very significant”.
To celebrate the launch of Beyond, Celebrity is rewarding agents with a new incentive campaign – offering £50 worth of Celebrity Rewards points when they book a 2022 European sailing by 31 May 2022.
For bookings made on all other Celebrity ships and sail years, agents will earn £20 per suite booking in The Retreat, £15 per booking in Aqua Class staterooms and £10 per booking in Concierge and Balcony staterooms.
The line had also launched an exclusive booking offer for agents taking part in the ship’s trade previews to market to their clients – with $1,000 onboard credit per stateroom and an upgrade to the Celebrity’s “Elevate” package, when they book any 2022 itinerary.
Meanwhile, Rzymowska insisted to TTG Celebrity “have no plans” to pass on the increase in global fuel costs to customers by raising prices or adding a fuel surcharge.
“We’re committed to that,” she said. “With the size of Royal Caribbean Group, we have significant buying power. We’ve made a commitment and there’s not our plan.”
