Scenic Group is set to become the latest cruise company to add Starlink – high-speed internet from Elon Musk’s SpaceX – to its ocean-going fleet.
The move comes in a bid to provide guests with faster, more reliable internet connections no matter where the line’s ships sail.
Beginning with fitting its newest ultra-luxury yacht Scenic Eclipse II with the technology prior to its christening on 3 June, the group will then add Starlink to Emerald Azzurra before the end of June.
Scenic also plans to include Starlink on Emerald Sakara, which is scheduled to launch in August, and Scenic Eclipse by the end of 2023.
