Agents based in the south or simply passing through Waterloo railway station are encouraged to pop by the “Sounds of Tennessee” experience during the next two weeks, to learn more about the destination.
From June 4-7 those passing through the station will be able to take advantage of Jack Daniels happy hour drinks from 4-6pm every weekday and listen to live country music from 2-4pm.
The exhibit, run in partnership with British Airways, is part of a month-long campaign featuring the Tennessee destinations of Nashville, Memphis and Knoxville that follows BA’s introduction of its five-days-per-week non-stop service from Heathrow to Nashville.
The exhibit at Waterloo as well as digital boards throughout London will feature custom Spotify playlists.
A special kick-off event, featuring Nashville recording artist Gill Landry, formerly of Old Crow Medicine Show, will take place at the stand on Monday June 4, from 2pm. A Tennessee Department of Tourist Development representative will also say a few words.
Sights & Sounds of Tennessee visitors will stand on a map of Tennessee and use headphones to listen to music recordings and other sounds from the state.
Corresponding websites, accessible via mobile devices, will enable visitors to “virtually transport themselves to Tennessee destinations” with 360-degree videos.
