Few places match the awe and grandeur of Antarctica. A world of ice and wonder, it is the coldest, windiest place on Earth. Here the elements rule, and our talented Hurtigruten Expeditions captains have the knowledge and experience to adapt with the changing conditions to ensure an exhilarating, unforgettable journey.

Millions of penguins call Antarctica home and outnumber the people, while the surrounding ice-laden seas form a rich feeding area for large numbers of whales, seals and a whopping 47 species of birds.

There’s plenty of opportunity to spot this incredible wildlife as guests enjoy active adventures, both on and off the ice. Kayaking, hiking and small boat cruising are all very popular, but for the more adventurous we offer a polar plunge and camping on the ice!

It’s not only about exploring, but learning too, thanks to our state-of-the-art Science Centers. Here guests will be joined by our expert Expedition Team as they attend lectures, examine scientific samples, and partake in Citizen Science projects that help expand our understanding of the world.

Plus, we currently have a fantastic flight-inclusive offer on Antarctic expedition cruises departing 2023/24, with prices from 7,290pp for a 12-day cruise.
