The Caribbean destination’s new rules, which came into force on Thursday (25 August), mean that unvaccinated arrivals must provide a negative Covid-19 test result, according to a FCDO travel advice update. Although the requirement to fill in a pre-arrival travel form has been removed.
The pre-departure test can either be a PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival or an antigen test completed within 24 hours of arrival.
Unvaccinated travellers have been warned they “may be retested” for Covid on arrival in the destination.
If the arrival test is positive, the traveller will have to isolate at a tourism authority-approved quarantine hotel at their own cost.
Since June, fully vaccinated visitors to the islands no longer need to complete a pre-arrival travel form or take a Covid test before arrival, but they are required to show proof of vaccination on entry.
