The move, which has seen authorities up the island’s alert level to "very high risk", reportedly follows an increase in the number of new Covid cases.
The maximum number of people allowed to meet up indoors or outdoors is now fixed at six, unless they are from the same household.
Covid passes, meanwhile, are now a mandatory entry requirement for all establishments. Pubs and restaurants will also have to close at midnight, while public transport capacity has been reduced 75%.
According to The Mirror, the more stringent measures will remain in place until at least 24 January.
