Police are investigating after more than 130 car keys were stolen from an off-site parking firm at Manchester airport.
The raid on offices of Car Park Manchester is the latest in a series on off-airport parking firms. In one instance at another parking firm in Styal, thieves returned to take four Mercedes cars, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The latest raid means that up to 50 holidaying families are unaware of the theft. Car Park Manchester said it was withholding information in order not to ruin clients’ holidays.
Car Park Manchester operates from a site in Altrincham. It told the paper that security had now been increased.
Manchester airport said it provided “a wide range of secure, official car parking facilities, and is also well connected via public transport”.
A spokesperson added: “Anyone with any doubts about their car parking can verify it with our customer services team.”
