The survey of more than 2,000 UK adults – conducted between 3-14 August – found 34% of those who travelled overseas in the previous eight weeks had experienced some form of disruption.
Around one in five (22%) adults travelled abroad in the period. Around nine in 10 (88%) travelled by plane, 21% by train and 16% by boat or ferry.
Of those who travelled abroad by plane in the past eight weeks and experienced some form of disruption, four in five (80%) experienced delayed flights or more waiting time on the plane and one in four (25%) reported cancellation of flights.
Meanwhile, half (50%) reported longer than normal queues at the airport and one in four (25%) experienced longer waits for luggage.
