The homeworking specialist has already helped more than 175 people to start their own travel businesses over the past 18 months, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, and has also seen a 30% increase in enquiries from potential new homeworkers.
The new recruitment campaign, entitled TCs Like You, features existing homeworkers talking on camera about their experiences of running their own travel businesses, including how they have coped during the Covid-19 crisis.
Matt Harding, head of recruitment at Travel Counsellors, said: “The travel industry is going through an extremely difficult time, with many people facing uncertain futures through no fault of their own.
“We have the reputation of attracting talented travel professionals, and we want to give them the opportunity to stay in an industry they love by opening up new career paths to them.
“There is also growing evidence that people are looking to take their professional lives in a new direction, with work-life balance being more important than ever.”
Travel Counsellors has invested in a support platform for homeworkers during the pandemic, including the launch of a community collaboration portal, TC World, as well as a new coaching and development platform.
Kirsten Hughes, UK managing director, added: “We can see that the desire to travel is high, as our forward departure order book is up to four times higher at the moment, compared to the same period in a pre-pandemic year.
“This latest drive is targeted at experienced travel professionals who may be looking for a new opportunity. We have a vast array of business models available to entrepreneurial travel professionals, and we have developed a new BDM model in our corporate business.”
