Peach, who joined the homeworking firm in 1997, was a passionate supporter of the charity and a close friend of its founders, Nicola and Michael Graham.
She was a regular attendee at Reuben’s Retreat events, including its annual Snowdown sunrise walk.
The 16km walk, which Travel Counsellors staff and their friends and families are encouraged to join, will take place on 4 September and start at 10.16am, marking both the 10th anniversary of Reuben’s Retreat and Peach’s branch number.
Travel Counsellors has raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds for Reuben’s Retreat since the charity began in 2012.
Steve Byrne, chief executive of Travel Counsellors, said: “We are very proud to have supported the amazing project that is Reuben’s Retreat for many years, coming together again as a strong community of Travel Counsellors to congratulate Reuben’s Retreat on their important milestone, and in memory of Gill Peach, who is dearly missed. We hope to see many TCs and their family and friends joining us on the 4 September.”
Nicola Graham added: “On our 10th anniversary, we celebrate how our project has been built on love, compassion and generosity, and Gill really was the epitome of this so it’s amazing to be able to do this in her honour.
“Fundraising campaigns, such as this one organised by Travel Counsellors, are the reason why Reuben’s Retreat is able to continue providing a safe haven for grieving families and for those with poorly children.”
