An insurer has launched a new travel agency aiming to deliver “luxury holidays” for every budget.
The team behind Questor Insurance has now launched Questor Travel, a phone-based agency with offices in Kent.
With a first-year start-up investment of £100,000 and three sales employees, Questor Travel is keen to expand its team as soon as possible.
Two of those staff have moved from the insurance branch, while the third was recruited from outside the business.
Samantha Jordan, head of marketing, travel and business development at Questor Travel, told TTG: “Our ethos is ‘unexpectedly personal’. As a business, we try to make sure every customer is treated as an individual and gets a personal approach.
“We are very proud of the customer loyalty we have in our insurance business. It’s about returning customers rather than a one-time offer.”
Trips already booked through Global Travel Group member Questor include a cruise, a Christmas city break and a Dubai holiday.
Jordan said Questor will offer luxury travel experiences at a variety of price points and will appeal to those people who travel multiple times a year.
“Everybody has their own budget and their own aspirations as to what they want their holiday to comprise,” said Jordan. “Luxury travel should be accessible to everyone.”
Staff at Questor launched the business with an around-the-world fancy dress party. Dale Robert, head of finance, won the costume competition with his German-inspired outfit.
Jordan added: "We’re ecstatic with how our first week has gone and we are really excited to start building relationships with new customers in the future.”
Questor Insurance, which is also phone-based, launched more than 10 years ago. It won Employer of the Year at the 2016 UK Broker Awards 2016 and Excellence in Technology at the 2017 Insurance Times Awards.
