Travel Republic has introduced Covid-19 insurance covering cancellation and medical costs.
Every Travel Republic customer who books a holiday and adds Travel Republic Travel Insurance will have Covid-19 cover.
The OTA will cover clients who fall ill with the virus up to 14 days prior to their holiday or while actually away. It also covers those who are hospitalised within 28 days of the start of their trip and if a travelling companion is denied boarding as a result of temperature checks or a positive Covid-19 test at the airport.
Travellers forced to extend their holiday as a result of falling ill abroad will be covered and they will also be able to claim in the event of their accommodation being closed due to the virus.
