Tunisair is to fly from Stansted from next spring, linking the Essex airport with Tunisia’s capital.
Two flights a week to Tunis will commence on 28 March, replacing a twice-weekly service to Gatwick, Air Journal reports. The carrier will continue to operate to Gatwick until then.
The Stansted flight will depart Monday and Thursday at 17:55, arriving at 20:55 in Tunis. The flight to the UK leaves at 13:50, arriving at 16:55.
Tunisia’s capital is famous for its Roman remains and Bardo museum as well as its nearby beaches.
Tunisair will maintain its Heathrow services throughout both seasons. It is currently operating twice a week.
