The carrier has added two additional flights a week from Heathrow to Istanbul airport, making 47. Gatwick’s schedule has also increased by two a week, now totalling 28. Manchester now also offers four flights a day following the addition of three more frequencies.
In Dublin, Turkish Airlines is increasing its 18 weekly flights to 21, providing three daily departures, while Edinburgh–Istanbul services rises from 10 to 14 weekly flights.
From today (10 June), Birmingham travellers will benefit from four additional weekly flights, increasing the total to 18 weekly services.
Harun Basturk, the carrier’s senior vice president sales, said demand from holidaymakers to visit Turkey had prompted the increase but added growing interest in points beyond Istanbul had also contributed, with the carrier offering more destinations than any other.
