The additions include two more New York-Newark flights, as well as extra Denver and San Francisco services. It means from March 2022, United will offer 22 flights a day to the US from Heathrow.
United said London was its most in-demand international destination for business customers in October, and expects this trend to continue into 2022.
“For nearly 30 years, United has provided a critical link between the US and London, maintaining service throughout the pandemic and strategically growing our schedule to keep our customers in these key global business centres connected,” said Patrick Quayle, United’s senior vice-president of international network and alliances.
“London is an integral part of United’s network and we remain confident demand will continue to grow, particularly as international business travel returns in 2022.”
United is currently operating seven flights a day to the US from Heathrow – two to New York-Newark and Washington DC, and one each to Chicago, Houston and San Francisco.
In December, this will increase to 10 a day with additional New York-Newark and Chicago flights. Other additions and resumptions include:
- A new Boston route operated by its Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring 46 Business seats and 22 Premium Plus;
- A resumption of daily Denver flights and a second daily flight operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft;
- Sixth and seventh daily flights to New York-Newark operated by Boeing 767-300ER aircraft;
- A third daily San Francisco flight operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft;
- A resumption of United’s daily Los Angeles service.
