Virgin Atlantic will restart flights to Cape Town in November.
A new daily service from Heathrow will get under way on 5 November.
Virgin will operate the route using Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring three cabins – Upper, Premium and Economy.
The winter service will operate until 24 March 2023.
Virgin said the route would complement its year-round daily Johannesburg service.
“We’re incredibly excited to return to the fabulous city of Cape Town with daily services from November," said Virgin Atlantic chief commercial officer Juha Jarvinen.
“Although a little later than we’d have liked due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the move reflects the fact travel is recovering, and global demand for holidays to sunny, premium destinations is returning at pace.
“We’re expecting a high proportion of leisure travellers on this route who will rightly be taking advantage of the winter sun, exploring the world-renowned wine regions and soaking up the rich culture this incredible country has to offer."
Fares lead in from £711pp. Flights will offer 31 seats in Upper, 35 Premium and 192 Economy.
Outbound flights will depart Heathrow at 4.20pm arriving Cape Town at 6am (+1).
Returns will depart Cape Town at 7.50am, arriving Heathrow at 5.45pm.
