The low-cost carrier announced on Wednesday (17 May) that ramping up its offer to 278 international destinations was part of a strategy to “de-seasonalise” the offer, increase demand and grow operations by 9% annually.
“This summer schedule highlights the company’s efforts to offer competitive and affordable prices to our customers with almost 300 routes to more than 100 attractive destinations,” said chief commercial, customer, strategy and network officer Carolyn Prowse.
As part of its renewed focus on the UK market, Vueling has increased flights between Gatwick and Alicante to three times a week, while introducing twice-weekly flights to both Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
“We continue reinforcing our position in Spain with outstanding leadership in Barcelona and Bilbao, in addition to consolidating our international commitment through London Gatwick and Paris Orly,” Prowse added.
In addition to Spain, Vueling also offers connections to Spain, France and Italy from five UK airports, including Manchester and Edinburgh.
