Departing on 15 June from Longyearbyen, the vessel’s maiden voyage will take guests on an eight-day expedition cruise to Svalbard.
For its maiden season, Ocean Albatros is set to sail in the Northern Hemisphere, offering expedition cruises to Svalbard, Jan Mayen, Greenland and Iceland.
Sister ship to Ocean Victory, the new vessel will offer 94 sea-facing staterooms, lecture lounges, two restaurants, wellness amenities, multiple bars and an open-deck dining facility.
Soren Rasmussen, founder and chair of Albatros Expeditions, said: "We constantly strive to achieve service delivery excellence in our customer journey by taking a quality and ‘safety first’ approach in everything we do."
The expedition cruise operator is also a founding member of the new Expedition Cruise Network.
