Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet has announced a seasonal direct service from Dublin to Nova Scotia.
Flights to Halifax Stanfield International airport from the Irish capital will get under way on April 30 next year running through October 26.
The six-hour daily service (five hours 15 minutes return) will be operated by new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft featuring economy and premium cabins, as well as WestJet’s in-flight entertainment service.
Outbound flights will depart Dublin at 9am arriving Halifax 11am local time. Returns will depart Halifax at 10.20pm arriving Dublin 7.30am the following day.
It is the first time since 2017 Irish passengers will be able to fly direct to Nova Scotia.
The new route comes in additional to Halifax routes from Gatwick and Glasgow.
Halifax is Nova Scotia’s provincial capital and the largest city in Atlantic Canada.
