The summer getaway, the first unencumbered by Covid travel restrictions since 2019, saw 4.76 million people travel ex-UK with Wizz last month.
This is up from 2.96 million in July 2021, a year-on-year increase of 61.1%.
Wizz’s July capacity ran to 5.3 million seats, up 40.9% from 3.77 million a year earlier.
This meant load factor in July 2022 was 89.7%, up from 78.5% in July 2021.
Last month, Wizz said industry supply chain disruptions had forced it into "tactical capacity reductions" this summer, although it didn’t specify the extent to which it plans to reduce its operations.
"We’ve now adjusted our network in view of the industry supply chain disruptions, making tactical capacity reductions from June onwards to increase the agility of our operation and supply chain," said chief executive Joszef Varadi.
