In a statement, Ruth Bligh said the firm had “ceased trading with immediate effect”.
F A Simms & Partners has been appointed as liquidators, with a spokesperson telling TTG Your Car Hire had entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on Friday (4 September).
Bligh said that despite 2020 “looking to be our best ever year” with first quarter sales up 25% year-on-year, Your Car Hire suffered “thousands” of cancellations due to Covid-19.
With the business’s recovery “proving to be very slow” it was unable to continue trading.
