Manchester Airport offers ease of access others can only dream of, with trains every 10 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly station. After a 20-minute journey, it’s a short, covered walk to the terminals. Another option is to take the Metrolink tram, which also serves the airport’s integrated transport hub that has all road and rail options under one roof.

Once through the doors, the evidence of Manchester’s transformation and expansion becomes apparent, particularly in the newly reopened Terminal 2, from which Singapore Airlines departs.

Terminal 2 doubled in size in 2021, and the old building has now been refurbished to match the extension. New check-in and security areas with next generation security equipment are a welcome feature, while the departure lounge has more than 20 new outlets, with the Boutique Mall also soon to open.

The latest addition to T2 will be a first-of-its-kind market hall-style dining area with six street food kitchens. The Great Northern Market seats 500 and features cuisine ranging from pizza to buttermilk chicken via smash burgers, plus sweet treats from Mancunian institution Gooey.

SQ301 departs Manchester at 10.05am, arriving at 7.15 am the following day, allowing for a host of flight connections.
