Jess: Welcome to our In the Spotlight video with Neilson Active Holidays. Stephen, for our travel agents who aren't so familiar, can you explain a little bit about who Neilson is and what you sell?
Stephen: Of course. So for our beach products, we operate in locations such as Greece, Croatia, Turkey and Sardinia. But we're not just about the pools, the bars and the spas. We have up to 25 inclusive activities from paddleboarding, windsurfing, mountain biking, volleyball, tennis – the list is endless. All of this delivered by expert tuition from our qualified Neilson instructors. But the great thing about this is that all the activities are all inclusive, so there's nothing extra to pay. And again, all of our kids' clubs are part of the holiday package. And these are kids' clubs that kids actually want to go to, so these are from your tots right the way through to the teens – you name it, we've got it. But we have something beyond our beach breaks, which is our beautiful Neilson Mountain Collection package of all these gorgeous ski holidays in some of Europe's most sought-after ski resorts. And this year we've got some really exciting stuff within our ski products.
Jess: I understand Neilson has been on a journey of growth recently. Can you tell me a little bit more about this and what's next in Neilson’s plan?
Stephen: Of course. Yep. So we are in full growth mode at the moment, which is a very exciting time for us. And with growth of the business comes growth of the portfolio. Most exciting part of the ski side of this is that we have two new hotels – ski hotels that appeal to a range of clientele from family fun right the way through to those seeking a little bit more fun on the mountain, located in the heart of Val d’Isere, in a prime location, and this is what we would regard as our snow-sure resort. The first hotel is the Neilson Hotel Ducs de Savoie. It's a lovely little modern, comfortable base, family orientated, which provides ski school drop-off and pick-up services, as well as our famous Neilson-run kids' clubs. Alternatively, you might want to opt for the Neilson Hotel & Spa Le Savoie. A little bit more my type of hotel – an elegant, alpine retreat. You've got your spa, you've got your indoor pool and hot tub facilities.
Jess: I also really like the sound of the recently launched Neilson Inside Collection. Can you explain a little bit more on this and what type of clients the collection will appeal to?
Stephen: Ah yes, the Neilson Inside Collection. This is much talked about at the moment because it's a new product-within-a-product if you like for Neilson. Offering the perfect blend of activity, fun and refined hospitality. I'd say it's more of a relaxed, elevated take on the Beach Club activity holiday with just a touch of luxury on the side. The Neilson Inside Collection launched last year and was really well-received from our current customer base. This was the Neilson Cooks’ Club in Adakoy, in Marmaris, Turkey. Following those reviews, the collection itself is set to grow in 2026 with two hotly anticipated openings. These are the Neilson x Mangia’s Torre del Barone in Sicily and then you've also got the Neilson x The Ravenala Attitude in Mauritius. Both of these hotels come with the classic Neilson activities alongside some new options that would maybe bring the heart rate a little bit lower. Such as your e-foiling, sea scooters, we have snorkelling and then the beautiful sound bath.
Jess: Travel agents have also played a key part in Neilson’s success, haven't they? Can you tell me how Neilson is working with the trade?
Stephen: Of course. So the last 12 months have been really significant for us, and shown the investment that we've now put forward with regards to our agency partnerships and really reigniting our relationship within the trade. This has now paid off and has played a key part in our growing success that we've seen so far, and we now would regard ourselves as fully equipped to support travel agents keen to join us on our journey. So, this involves everything from a fully dedicated trade trade team that we have now built who are on hand to support all of our agency partners with both sales and service inquiries. We've put a lot of investment into our fam trips, getting the agents out into the product to really see what it is that we do and what we would regard as the leaders in this industry – that’s in both the ski and the beach product. And we've been really laser-focused on making sure that not only are we protecting our legacy agencies that have been with us for many, many years, but we're also really investing in our new-to-Neilson agents to make sure that the training and onboarding into our specialist product has been well received. One question that we often get asked is on our price-parity policy. We offer full price-parity and that's something that we truly stand by. We have our agent website, which we've launched this year, which is new for our agency partners to give you access to selling all of the Neilson product like never seen before. We've increased access to our scheduled flights operating across the UK to make it even easier now through the agent website for you to get access to the product for your customers.
