Madeleine: Hello and welcome to our In the Spotlight video with Intrepid! So Holly, first up, tell us when your Black Friday Sale is happening and why agents should be aware of it now?
Holly: Thank you so much for having us. So our Black Friday Sale is just around the corner, and it's such an amazing time to book. We really want agents to be prepped early, which is why it's so important that they start building their own activities on their platforms now. Also it's super exciting because we are giving agents early access along with all the tools that they need, including assets like videos and a Black Friday Sale poster. But we also want to give them all the information and support as well. Ultimately we just want agents to really get behind this campaign and make the most of the opportunity.
Maddie: And so what exactly is the offer? Why is it such a good deal?
Holly: So the offer is savings of up to 20% off on our small group adventures. So this is running from 13 November to 4 December. But what's super exciting is we've got agents' early access, so that's starting on 5 November. The agent exclusive will not be on the website – it's not available to our direct clients. It's such a great opportunity for our agent friends to secure some bookings ahead of the main sale.
Black Friday is one of our biggest campaigns of the year. We see some of our best savings and we also have an incredible booking incentive to back up the sale. So agents can earn cash for every booking that they make.
Maddie: Amazing. And does this offer cover all types of Intrepid small group adventures across all destinations? Or are there any restrictions in terms of what types of travel it applies to or which part of the world even?
Holly: So it is not just a handful of our trips. This will cover the majority of our portfolio. That means over 800 incredible adventures around the world. Clients can actually choose from a huge number of our Intrepid trips, including all of our styles – from Basix to Premium but also our whole host of trip themes as well. So that includes family trips, wildlife trips, food and rail, but also so much more. All the information will be available on our Facebook page, Intrepid Loves Agents, and also available on our agent hub.
Maddie: Fantastic. And are there any particular destinations or itineraries that you'd like to draw agents' attention to for when this sale launches?
Holly: Yeah, so we've got hundreds of trips to choose from across all of our styles and all of our themes. A few to pick out... Definitely Sri Lanka – they can take in the journey far and wide, from Colombo to the ancient ruins. But they can also go to Peru – see Machu Picchu, and adventures await in Cusco, but they can also get embedded within the locals in those destinations as well. You'll see a lot more of what's on offer on our Black Friday section of our website.
Maddie: Perfect. Plenty of choice! And finally, is there anything else agents should know about selling Intrepid over the next few months?
Holly: Yeah, it's definitely an exciting time to book an Intrepid trip for your clients. We offer those immersive, experience-rich itineraries led by local guides and all while being committed to responsible tourism and giving back.
Whilst our Back Friday Sale is a focus on our small group adventures, we don't want agents to forget that we offer those incredible day tours and tailor-made trips. So there really is something for everyone with that.
With our extensive network of DMC offices operating our own trips, agents can really feel confident that their clients are in safe hands. We're also constantly evolving product with new and exciting experiences launching regularly.
