Following last year’s successful fundraiser, NCL wants agents who join Walk for Wellness initiative to collectively clock up 22,000 miles more than in 2024.
Last year, more than 1,000 agents clocked up 98,000, raising £15,000 for Abta LifeLine and The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) Benevolent Fund, in the process. However, this year, NCL has set a target of 120,000 miles.
The line, which recently launched Prima Plus ship, Norwegian Aqua, has pledged to donate £10,000 and €5,000 respectively if agents achieve the mileage.
However, this year a “bumper prize pool" will be available for participants who accept “mini challenges” throughout the month of May.
The prizes include four cabins on Norwegian Luna’s maiden voyage next year, £100 Nike gift voucher, two £100 wellness vouchers and a Ninja Blender.
Gary Anslow, NCL’s vice-president and managing director, UK and Ireland, said: “Walk for Wellness was a true highlight in our calendar last year.
“The spirit of our agents, partners, and team is what makes this campaign so special. We’ve seen firsthand the difference these funds make, and the stories of personal transformations are inspiring. Let’s smash 120,000 miles together and have some fun along the way.”
Trudie Clements, director of Abta LifeLine, said NCL’s “generous” donation made “a real difference to colleagues struggling with the cost of living”.
“It’s initiatives like this that remind people they’re not alone – and that this industry looks after its own,” she added.
