In his new role, Lewis will look after Intrepid's relationships with agents in the north of England and Scotland.
He will be responsible for delivering the operator's trade strategy, driving regional growth, and supporting agent rewards and incentive programmes.
Lewis brings more than a decade of industry experience to his new role with Intrepid, most recently as national sales business development manager at Hays.
He takes over Carrie Grant's northern brief at Intrepid after she was promoted to the role of head of industry partnerships UK and Ireland.
Lewis said following an Intrepid fam to Peru he had gained an appreciation of the operator's values and purpose mission.
"That experience inspired me to take the leap into my new role as senior partnerships manager," he said.
"My goal is to bring our agent partners along on the Intrepid journey – helping them understand how their customers can enjoy small group, immersive and inspiring tours that support local communities and create positive change.”
Grant said Lewis would bring "a wealth of experience and positivity" to his new role with Intrepid.
"His appointment will strengthen Intrepid’s presence across the north and provide agents with even more support as we continue to invest in and drive growth across the region," she added.
“We've had a fantastic year, and a large part of our success is down to our amazing travel agents and trade partners. We couldn't have done this without them. We have so much planned for next year."
