The 270-passenger Scenic Ikon vessel will feature 135 all-verandah suites ranging from 34 to 250 square metres over five decks, 15 dining venues and will be able to sail in both polar regions and warm water destinations.
Scenic Ikon will visit destinations such as Cape Verde, Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and the Chilean Fjords. It will debut in Venice in April 2028, with sailings available to book until March 2029.
The maiden programme features 110 ports, 21 countries and 26 new destinations for the line.
Scenic confirmed the maiden sailing has sold out, while the following departures are selling "strongly", the group added.
It will also be equipped with two Airbus helicopters, a custom-designed Triton AVA submersible, Zodiacs and tenders.
Construction of Scenic Ikon is well under way following the steel-cutting ceremony in February and the keel laying in May.
The group said Scenic Ikon remains "firmly on schedule for delivery at the end of 2027, ahead of final testing and entry into service".
It added: "This exceptional new vessel will redefine ultra-luxury expedition cruising, offering discerning travellers unparalleled access to the world’s most extraordinary destinations."
Glen Moroney, founder and chair of Scenic Group, said: “Scenic Ikon has been conceived, engineered and built with our in-house ship building division at MKM Yachts and will be operated entirely by our own dedicated Scenic crew.
"This remarkable vessel is the result of more than three years of passion, innovation and development by our team, and we are delighted to share the Discovery Yacht with our valued guests, travel agents and partners."
He added: "Every element of Scenic Ikon’s design has been optimised to deliver unrivalled experiences across diverse destinations and environments, from its primary base the Mediterranean to the wilds of Antarctica.”
The Scenic Group also operates two other Discovery Yachts – Scenic Eclipse I and II – which launched in in 2019 and 2023 respectively.
