Garrido was already at SHG, which comprises American Holidays, Citalia and Sovereign Luxury Travel, when it was acquired by TravCorp in July last year.

TravCorp said Garrido had played an “integral role” integrated the SHG brands and people since the acquisition.

“We’re very grateful to Simon for his significant work in helping us integrate, shape and grow our expanded travel trade team,” said TravCorp group chief executive Andy Freeth.

“Simon leaves us in great shape for what’s to come for Specialist Holidays Group and we wish him well with the next chapter of his career.”

The SHG travel trade team now comprises Jorge Quibell, head of trade partnerships; Kim Sellman, trade partnerships manager; Luke Swarbrook, trade partnerships manager; and Maria Petkova, trade partnerships executive.

“Jorge, Kim, Luke and Maria represent a new era for Specialist Holidays Group, and we are excited by what’s to come as we plan forwards and grow our business with travel agents in the coming months and years,” added Freeth.
