Travel Village Group leaves Co-op Consortium to join Brilliant Travel

Travel Village Group has left the Co-operative Travel Consortium to join Barrhead Travel-owned Brilliant Travel, becoming its largest managed partner to date.

The move brings the group's portfolio of agent brands over to Brilliant, including Travel Village, The Holiday Village, Southampton Cruise Centre and RiverCruising.co.uk.

Founded in Blackpool in 1959, Travel Village Group is now a fourth-generation family business, led by Phil and Paula Nuttall, specialising in leisure, cruise and long-haul travel.

Brilliant said its managed partner model, backed by Barrhead's might, would allow TVG to leverage its scale, commercial strength, technology and central support.
