Trafalgar will now offer five distinct categories of travel – tours, small groups, river cruises, rail and group sales – with products split across three Saver, Classic and Premium tiers. The new portfolio will go on sale in Q4 ahead of the Black Friday booking period.
For agents, TTC Tour Brands said the new structure aimed to offer a single, "simpler" platform designed to help agents match customers with different styles and levels of travel, rather than having to navigate three separate brand propositions.
"This isn’t about taking choice away, it's about making an enormous amount of choice much easier to navigate," said Kelly Jackson, TTC Tour Brands Mnaging Director and Senior Vice-President of sales EMEA. "We want agents to be able to match the right Trafalgar experience to the right traveller more easily – and sell more as a result."
The three tiers will broadly reflect what the existing brands offer. Saver will retain the "value and flexibility" associated with Costsaver, while Classic will represent the Trafalgar product agents know today. Premium will retain the "elevated hotels, dining and experiences" traditionally associated with Insight Vacations.
TTC said the change was largely about how the portfolio is branded and presented. Existing 2027 itineraries, experiences and pricing remaining unchanged. Contiki and Luxury Gold will remain sister brands to Trafalgar in the TTC setup.
To help agents get to grips with the new structure, a dedicated Your New Era with Trafalgar hub is now live on TTC's TAP trade platform, with a webinar scheduled for Thursday (3 September).
The changes come after Trafalgar earlier this year entered the river cruise market, with the operator pledging to bring "multiple" UK and Irish agents on fam trips.
That included a three-day sailing onboard Trafalgar Verity in April, giving agents their first look at the brand's river cruise proposition.
