Beth Daniels, who has been named Senior Account Manager – Leisure Sales, brings almost 10 years' experience with the airline to her new post having held roles across indirect sales, agency sales and group sales.
She recently played a key role in the launch of Sky High Crew, designed to help to strengthen the carrier's engagement with the travel trade.
In this role, Daniels will continue her work driving revenue growth through the touring and adventure sector while supporting Virgin Atlantic’s wider leisure growth ambitions.
Nick Johnson, meanwhile, has been appointed Groups and Meetings, Incentives, Corporate and Events (MICE) lead, bringing the Virgin's groups and specialist teams together under a single leadership structure.
Johnson has 19 years' experience at Virgin Atlantic having held roles across agency sales, loyalty and crew training. The carrier said Johnson's appointment reflects its "ambition to accelerate growth across its Groups and MICE business".
It added: "The new structure strengthens Virgin Atlantic’s specialist offering, creates greater alignment across these customer segments and unlocks new commercial opportunities."
As part of a new structure, Nicki Goldsmith, Director of Global Agency Sales, has been handed a wider remit to include Groups and MICE alongside Leisure and TMC.
Goldsmith said: "Both Nick and Beth bring a wealth of experience, strong industry relationships and a real passion for our trade partners. These appointments reflect our commitment to investing in internal talent who will help shape the future of our leisure business."
She added: “As we continue to grow, this expanded leadership team will help us build even closer relationships with the trade, unlock new opportunities and ensure Virgin Atlantic remains easy to do business with, while delivering the brilliant service our partners know and expect from us.”
It comes almost a year after Corneel Koster succeeded Shai Weiss as Chief Executive of Virgin Atlantic. Former Chief Customer and Operating Officer Koster rejoined the airline in 2019.
