Paula McAreavey has worked in a variety of roles across the travel sector during her 15-year career.
Her most recent position was at social media, marketing manager and travel consultant at agency Terra Travel in Lurgan, Northern Ireland.
In an Instagram post, Terra Travel said: "Saying a sad farewell to our Paula, who’s leaving for pastures new. We all want to wish her well for the new job and we’ll miss her so much in Lurgan."
Meanwhile, Celebrity has appointed Janaina Torres – named World’s Best Female Chef 2024 by World’s 50 Best – as godmother of Celebrity Xcel which launches in November this year.
Torres will christen Celebrity Xcel on 16 November in Fort Lauderdale as the ship sales on a five-night maiden voyage to Bimini, Bahamas, and Cozumel, Mexico.
In April 2026, Xcel will reposition across to Europe to start its season offering seven to 11-night sailings from Athens and Barcelona.
