Webb will take up the newly created role in late June, reporting into the recently appointed sales director Matthew Stuart, who joined the line from Celebrity Cruises.
Webb will support Hurtigruten's trade sales strategy across the UK and selected emerging markets, working closely with key travel partners, focusing on growth, strengthening strategic relationships and developing the existing team further.
Webb brings more than 20 years' sales experience, including a decade within the cruise sector and 12 years in fast-moving consumer goods.
Prior to joining Hurtigruten, Webb spent the last 10 years working for Carnival Corporation brands – P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess Cruises.
Hayley Moore, Hurtigruten's vice-president of sales and marketing, UK and emerging markets, who joined the specialist line from Princess earlier this year, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Ellie to the team as we continue to build momentum across the UK and emerging markets.
“Her depth of experience across both cruise and FMCG, combined with her strong commercial focus and passion for partnership, makes her a brilliant fit for Hurtigruten.
"Ellie’s appointment reflects our continued investment in the trade, and she will play an important role in expanding our reach and supporting our partners as we continue to grow,"
Webb added: "I’ve always admired what Hurtigruten stands for, particularly its commitment to supporting local communities and its genuine care for people, nature and livelihoods.
"I’m incredibly excited to be joining a brand that is widely recognised for delivering iconic experiences in one of the most beautiful regions of the world for over 130 years.”
While Yasmin McKechnie, sales director for UK, Ireland and EMEA at Princess Cruises, praised Webb for her "exceptional" contribution.
"She leaves with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future," she said.
