Swarbrook will report into the line's head of sales Nicola Cox, and will be responsible for maintaining and growing trade relationships in the north of the country, a region he is familiar with from his near two-year stint at Citalia parent SHG.
Swarbrook, who leaves SHG less than a month after sales director Simon Garrido also departed, said it was "a privilege to represent such an iconic brand" ahead of his start date on 1 April.
Star Clippers said Swarbrook would bring "a wealth of experience" to his new role from his previous posts with SHG and the Royalton Hotel Group.
It added Luke would also help with the growth and development of accounts from the Birmingham region and up, including Scotland and Northern Ireland
Fay McCormack, general manager of Star Clippers’ UK general sales agent, added: "We are excited to welcome Luke to our small and dedicated team.
"Our ongoing commitment to the trade is reinforced with the hiring of Luke, whose experience will be invaluable in supporting our trade partners and agents in the north."
