While details, including the cabin allocation, are still being finalised, the ultra-luxury line's President Wes D'Silva told TTG of the move in London on Tuesday (15 September). Seven Seas Prestige will Regent Seven Seas' first new ship class for 10 years.
"We're taking the opportunity for the local travel advisors around here to see the ship, which is going to be such an important part of our brand moving forward," he said.
Paul Beale, Sales Vice-President, UK and Ireland, Regent Seven Seas and Oceania Cruises, said: "This is going to be a bit more than a fam trip. The ship will be in full service by then.
"We're going to put some significant numbers on here. It's a chance to showcase this ship to not only the luxury travel trade who has sold us before but also introducing it to those who have not sold us before. I'm very excited about this to say the least."
How to sell Regent Seven Seas' new ship Seven Seas Prestige
Asked how many new-to-brand agents would be invited on the sailing, D'Silva said: "A proportion will be related to that, but we also want to be very mindful of the advisors that have supported us."
Beale suggested agents on Prestige next year will be invited to join "How to sell" and "How to upgrade from Premium to Luxury" presentations onboard, with members of the line's senior leadership team also poised to lead panel discussions onboard.
D'Silva said he wanted to meet "as many" UK agents as possible during the preview cruise.
New ship already breaking records
Seven Seas Prestige, which launches in December 2026, will feature an 8,794-square feet Skyview Regent Suite starting at around £20,000 a night.
"At that price point, it was pushing the limits of what we were comfortable with," D'Silva admitted, before adding: "But a little while ago, we launched the first 13 sailings, which means we had 13 Skyview Regent Suites to sell – and we sold 10 in the first hour."
Beale confirmed at least one UK-based agent had managed to sell the suite, but declined to share their details. "There's good demand for the suite," D'Silva said of the largest all-inclusive suite at sea.
D'Silva said Prestige is sold "incredibly well". "It basically broke every new ship record that we had," he explained. "Highest revenue day, highest booking day, highest booking month – all of these were on the back of Prestige's inaugural launch."
