Emilie will join the Uniworld fleet next year, the line’s 50th anniversary year, following the launch of the S.S Victoria last year and the S.S. Elisabeth this year. It will be the 19th addition to the Uniworld fleet and will debut on the Danube.
Uniworld last month revealed it had placed an order for a further three new-build super ships, which will join the fleet from 2027.
With a design inspired by the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and named after his partner and muse, Emilie Floge, the ship will feature an Art Nouveau style across its three decks.
S.S. Emilie will also be larger than Uniworld’s usual ships, with capacity for 154 guests and 57 staff members.
Guests who book a Grand Suite and the adjoining Deluxe French Balcony next door can see their stateroom transformed into a spacious two-bedroom suite.
There will also be a regular French Balcony suite, 12 "classic" rooms and one accessible state room.
All cabins include handcrafted beds by Savoir and marble bathrooms with Asprey toiletries, while guests in higher room categories can avail of additional perks like butler service and packing assistance.
There will also be a fine dining restaurant called Gustav’s, as well as the Belvedere Lounge, a bar, a fitness centre and a spa.
