In 2024 Air Europa introduced flights from Gatwick via Madrid to Santiago de los Caballeros International Airport (also known as the Cibao International Airport, STI). As the Dominican Republic’s second largest city, Santiago’s rich history, music scene and local flavours provide your clients with a truly unique travel experience.
The new route is in addition to Air Europa’s existing connections to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo, giving travellers even more options to explore the beauty and culture of the Dominican Republic.
A premium experience
All of Air Europa’s flights to the Dominican Republic operate on the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which boasts numerous passenger-focused and sustainability credentials.
The aircraft promises passengers a comfortable, refreshing journey, as the advanced onboard cabin pressure system allows them to absorb an extra 8% oxygen. This helps reduce fatigue, headaches, nausea and even reduces the impact of jet lag. In addition, the advanced filtration system maintains optimal air quality by eliminating bacteria and odours and reducing dryness.
The Dreamliner also utilises new Boeing technology that helps it create 20% less noise and consume 20% less fuel compared to traditional aircraft.
A choice of cabins
Air Europa passengers can choose from Business and Economy class, which each offer a host of benefits:
Business Class: Air Europa’s Business Class aims to deliver a first-class experience with fully-flat beds, extra legroom, world-class in-flight entertainment, priority boarding and access to VIP airport lounges. Passengers will also enjoy gourmet meals, including vegetarian and special dietary options. These are crafted by Martin Berasategui – the most decorated chef in Spain, thanks to his 12 Michelin stars.
Economy Class: For travellers seeking value without compromising comfort, look to Economy Class. They’ll enjoy comfortable seating, personal entertainment systems and meals, and can choose from a range of fare options.
