Founded in 2021, eco-conscious “lifestyle beach resort” brand Ella Resorts is expanding apace, but thoughtfully – making waves in both the family and adults-only markets.

Launching with the adults-only Elissa in Rhodes, before unveiling family-friendly Helea on the same island in 2023, the group’s newest offering, Alkyna in Corfu, opened on 1 May (adults-only). A fourth resort will open in Crete early next year catering for families, and there are further Mediterranean expansion plans.

Alkyna Lifestyle Beach Resort

The cliffside adults-only (16+) all-inclusive Alkyna Lifestyle Beach Resort is the newest in Ella Resorts’ portfolio, with 349 rooms, suites and villas.

There are three restaurants (two of which are curated by the acclaimed Trastelis restaurant group) and four bars featuring local and international cuisine, as well as a spa.

“Ellascapes” here (bespoke destination-focused experiences available in all three resorts) include a fishing experience onboard a Greek boat while also learning to cook the fresh catch, and visits to sun-kissed olive groves.

Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort

The larger all-inclusive Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort is aimed at families, with 626 rooms, suites and bungalows; a kids’ club and creche – in collaboration with with Worldwide Kids – and a splash park. There are five eateries and as many bars, serving local and international cuisine (including menus curated by Michelin star-holders). There are 15 freshwater swimming pools; access to a Blue Flag beach; a spa; a multi-sports court and much more.

Elissa Lifestyle Beach Resort

The 209-room and suite adults-only Elissa Lifestyle Beach Resort has breakfast and all-inclusive options available (“Ellavated Bliss”, see below); four restaurants and three bars featuring local and international cuisine (menus are curated by Michelin-starred chefs); the Kelari wine cellar offering Greek wine tasting; 11 freshwater swimming pools; a Blue Flag beach; and sports facilities. Ellascapes here include pottery-making, diving adventures and sailing to seafood feasts.

Ellavated Bliss

Through a simple board upgrade at the adults-only resorts, guests can indulge in the Ellavated Bliss all-inclusive option, including “culinary freedom” like access to curated wine lists. At Elissa, guests can choose from local delicacies or special Mediterranean dishes at Fanes, or enjoy the catch of the day at Kavos, where the menu has been crafted by Michelin-starred chef Alexandros Tsiotinis.
