The luxury tour operator launched the bespoke product range earlier this year, as part of its strategy to cater to clients with budgets of more than £100,000.
The portfolio includes six itineraries in destinations such as Indonesia and Antarctica, as well as four buyout options for exclusive retreats like Necker Island, Blue Safari Seychelles Soneva Secret. The majority of these trips centre around group travel, including multi-gen celebrations and large family adventures.
The next phase of Limitless will see a stronger emphasis on “more intimate party sizes”, in response to a demand for bookings at Carrier around £60,000.
“This [figure] seems to be the sweet spot at the minute,” Rebecca Turner, head of product at Carrier, told TTG. “The clients still want the very best, but the party size is a lot smaller.”
The new collection has been designed specifically for high-net-worth clients looking to replicate the original Limitless experiences but on a much smaller scale.
“Not all trips warrant buying an island or getting a super yacht and bringing all your friends along,” Turner explained. “Not all holidays are done on a massive, buyout level.”
The destinations of the expanded collection will be inspired by past bookings: “It’s quite worldwide. We’ve got destinations in Asia and Africa, as well as a lot of ski and chalet bookings. Maldives also remains extremely popular.”
She added the next phase will continue to deliver the same level of service clients have come to expect from Limitless: “It’s still very much about exclusivity, privacy and having those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”
Carrier will also be delving deeper into its multi-centre itineraries, which have jumped from 11% to 19% of its total bookings in the past year.
As for trending destinations, it has seen a 40% increase in Sri Lanka bookings and a 17% rise in Canada bookings.
It will also continue to invest in its concierge service, which creates VIP experiences that “can’t be replicated elsewhere.”
“Our clients are expecting more – much more,” said Lorraine Norcross, concierge manager at Carrier. “That could be a gluten-free birthday cake served at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, a private helicopter flight over Robben Island with Nelson Mandela’s former prison guard, or impossible-to-find Nutcracker tickets in Paris on Christmas Day. One of my favourites? An underwater mermaid party in Dubai, complete with real mermaids, for an 8th birthday celebration.”
