Launched in June 2025, the platform is a B2B spin-off of The Luxury Train Club, a network of more than 66,000 consumer members.
“The number of luxury trains, operators and owners is changing quickly, and it is now genuinely difficult for an agency to keep track,” said Paul Gridley, Founder of Luxury Train Hub, “Our job is to hold that information in one place and keep it current, so an advisor can find the right train without spending days on research.”
Once registered, agents have access to a portfolio of 13 luxury trains across five operators, including Belmond, which has seven trains, and Golden Eagle Luxury Trains, which runs three trains across Europe, China and Central Asia.
Luxury Train Hub also has Rovos Rail, which offers bespoke rail journeys across Southern Africa, Locomotive Services, which charters The Chairman’s Train, and SJourney, Vietnam’s first luxury sleeper train.
“Basically, it’s aimed at agents who have never booked luxury train travel before,” Simon Pielow, co-founder of The Luxury Train Consultancy and advisor to The Luxury Train Club, told TTG.
Pielow is keen to emphasise, however, that Luxury Train Hub only connects agents with suppliers and is not involved in the booking process.
“Agents submit an enquiry which goes directly to the train company, and from then on, everything is between them and the train company – and we take a step back,” he explained.
It is especially targeting advisors with high-net-worth clients who may already be booking yachts or luxury cruises, as well as advisors who aren’t yet confident in selling railway travel.
“Agents are very busy and they don’t have time to plough through all this purple prose,” Pielow said. “We give them the facts, the photos and the maps, as opposed to the marketing material.”
The rail travel consultant added that Luxury Train Hub can be used by agents all over the world, and doesn’t require them to have a large network of high-net-worth customers.
“We know from experience that the most unlikely agent may have one or two diamond-rated clients,” Pielow said.
Luxury Train Hub is also able to organise fam trips, particularly for agents who have already booked one of its operators’ journeys.
“If an advisor clearly making inroads in other trains, I’m very open to sending them aboard,” Pielow said.
The tool is free for agents to join, with operators paying a small amount once the traveller has departed. Advisors’ commissions are fully protected, with Luxury Train Hub promising to “never” take a share of their cut.
Pielow also revealed plans to expand Luxury Train Hub portfolio, which currently spans everything from one-day itineraries to transcontinental journeys. Confirmed new entrants include additional trains in China and new entrants in France, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia.
