Travel Counsellors has announced the first keynote speaker of its upcoming 2025 global conference this November.

The three-day long event at ACC Liverpool will kick off with a speech from British travel journalist Simon Reeve, who is perhaps best known for his BBC documentary series, Holidays in the Danger Zone.

The adventurer will share “behind-the-scenes” stories from his longstanding career, which has seen him visit more than 130 countries and pen five books.

Travel Counsellors believes that Reeve’s background perfectly aligns with the theme of this year’s conference, “Your Story, Our Journey.”

“Our annual conference is always a highlight of the year – a time to celebrate the achievements of our people and look forward to the future together,” said Steve Byrne, chief executive officer of Travel Counsellors.

“This year’s theme, Your Story, Our Journey, recognises the unique journeys of every individual in our community and how, collectively, combining the power of technology with the human touch, they create something truly special – unforgettable travel experiences for their customers and clients.

We are delighted to welcome Simon Reeve to our 2025 conference; his passion for travel, curiosity about the world and talent for telling inspiring human stories make him the perfect speaker to bring this theme to life, and we look forward to hearing his insights.”

The programme will feature a full schedule of conference sessions, interactive seminars and workshops on topics such as AI in business and social selling.

Attendees can also expect a gala dinner, an awards ceremony and live entertainment.

The three-day event will take place at ACC Liverpool from Friday 7 – Sunday 9 November 2025.
