Caribtours bolsters its marketing team

Caribtours has made two key appointments to strengthen its relationships with agents.

Paul Cleary: “Luxury Caribbean is what we are known for but the Indian Ocean has grown beyond recognition and our European programme has blossomed, so it’s important to beef up our marketing in line with that.”

Atlyn Forde joins as head of marketing from her former role heading the St Lucia Tourist Board in the UK, while Karen Davies moves internally to the newly created role of agency sales manager.


Managing director Paul Cleary said: “We have been looking at beefing up our marketing since the turn of the year. This was a brilliant opportunity to get Atlyn onboard.


“Luxury Caribbean is what we are known for but the Indian Ocean has grown beyond recognition and our European programme has blossomed, so it’s important to beef up our marketing in line with that.”


He said Forde’s job would be to “keep the Caribtours brand and all its values at the top of agents’ minds and with the consumer”. Trade marketing would be further enhanced with Davies’s move from her travel advisor role at the operator to spending all her time on the road, he added.
