Coco Collection is launching its Coco Residences concept in the Maldives in a bid to offer a higher level of service.
Launching from May 1, the concept comes as a result of enhancements at the Escape Water Residences at the group’s Coco Bodu Hithi resort, such as private wine cellars, expansive sun-deck with plunge pool, cabana and a dedicated “lifestyle host” per villa, to perform tasks such as booking a yoga class or operating the private in-room cinemas.
Guests will have priority booking at Stars restaurant close to the Coco Residences and a private beach will be created for residences guests.
At the group’s second resort Coco Palm, chief operating officer Armand Chaudhary said he plans to develop the uninhabited island adjacent to it by adding in six ‘shacks’ that guests can spend the night in.
Chaudhary, who joined Coco Collection in 2014, said he is also ramping up environmental involvement across the resorts.
“We have introduced two additional marine biologists to help educate guests and to encourage them to get involved with local marine initiatives,” he said.
The group will also now be working with Cinq Mondes and the spa brand’s treatments and products will be introduced from September.
