Reynal succeeds John Davison, who has retired and remains a member of the company’s board. Reynal was most recently president and chief executive of the luxury resort management and leisure travel group Apple Leisure Group, owned by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. 

From 2011 to 2019 Reynal was chief executive of Atento, a global customer relationship management and business process outsourcing services company. Earlier in his career he held management positions at Telefonica and The Coca-Cola Company.

Reynal said he admired the Four Seasons brand for “its unwavering focus on its values and for the boldness of its innovative “hello”. He added: “There are numerous strategic opportunities ahead, and we are well positioned to steer a new course in the luxury space that will further enhance the value and power of our brand.”
