The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has announced its upcoming fam trip plans for agents as it celebrates being accepted into Virtuoso.
The country will host a number of educational events in Jamaica this autumn, inviting advisors to tour the island with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic in November.
Agents who join the fam trips, which will be held 12-17 November and 14-20 November, will stay at well known luxury resorts such as Half Moon and Round Hill. They will also participate in high-end excursions, aiming to showcase Jamaica’s experiential offerings for affluent clients.
JTB will also run a number of online trade events, including luxury webinars on 10 and 12 June and 18 September 2025. These virtual sessions will offer insider tips, updates, and insights to help agents sell Jamaica more effectively.
There will also be in-person events, including a dinner at Corinthia London on 30 September and an event at The Chef’s Table in Chester on 2 December.
Tourism minister Hon. Edmund Bartlett said he believed Jamaica’s acceptance into Virtuoso, which includes 2,300 luxury travel companies globally, will open new sales and marketing opportunities for the country.
“Virtuoso agencies worldwide sell an average of $35 billion annually, making the network the most significant player in luxury travel. The network’s acceptance process is incredibly selective, so becoming a preferred partner is a true honour,” Bartlett said.
“The reputation Virtuoso member agencies have for outstanding dedication to their clients is a perfect fit with our own bespoke approach to service. Now that we’re part of this renowned network, we look forward to offering Virtuoso advisors and their clients the special amenities, values and experiences that surpass their expectations.”
These sentiments were echoed by Donovan White, director of tourism, who said: “Jamaica’s inclusion in the Virtuoso network is a strategic advancement in our efforts to strengthen the island’s presence in the global luxury travel sector. It provides direct access to a highly qualified audience of travel advisors and clients. This partnership reinforces our commitment to delivering high-value, premium experiences that reflect the sophistication and depth of Jamaica’s tourism product.”
