Grecotel has introduced a new holistic wellness programme to Cape Sounio, less than a year after unveiling the transformation of the Athens Riviera resort.
Founded by wellness expert Vicky Vlachonis, Elevations of Wellness consists of a series of treatments designed to meet the evolving needs of its clients.
The programme is divided into four tiers, the first of which uses deep breathing exercises to promote relaxation and inner balance.
The second level focuses on rejuvenation and energy restoration, while the third offers a deeper, more integrative approach to healing. The fourth and final tier targets ‘emotional and physical’ tension, using ‘gentle yet potent techniques’ to relieve both body and mind.
Vlachonis gained prominence as a health guru in 2014 after publishing, The Body Doesn’t Lie, which outlines a three-step approach for ending chronic pain. Called the Positive Feedback Programme, the model teaches readers to Reflect, Release, and Radiate, as a means of managing and/or eradicating pain.
The Greek osteopath’s methods have been endorsed by Gwyneth Paltrow, who wrote the foreword to the book and shared that Vlachonis has treated her entire family for over a decade.
Elevations of Wellness has incorporated many treatments approved by Vlachonis, including lymphatic massage to promote circulation and reduce fluid retention, deep-tissue massage with Greek cupping techniques and visualisation meditation massage. Guests will also be able to try local rituals like dry brushing with olive oil, supplied by Saint Supply, Vlachonis’ own organic virgin olive oil company.
The Elevations of Wellness programme will take place in the recently refurbished spa, which is open daily from 10:00 to 18:30. The space features a glass-walled indoor pool with heated freshwater and cannons, bubbles seats, nozzles and a shower jet, as well as an open-air heated hydrotherapy pool. There are also four massage rooms, a fitness centre with brand new Technogym cardio fitness equipment, and a salon offering both beauty and hair treatments.
