Hotel and hospitality specialists Accor and Arora Group have teamed up to add a new luxury hotel to their portfolio.
The third Fairmont property in the UK, Fairmont Windsor Park, is currently undergoing a substantial multi-million pound redevelopment and is scheduled to open in 2020.
It is located on the former site of the Savill Court Hotel and Spa, which was owned and operated by Arora Group.
The hotel will feature more than 200 bedrooms and suites, and a 2,500 square metre spa and wellness area, which includes an indoor lap pool and outdoor vitality pool, treatment rooms, salt room, hammam and Japanese foot spa.
There will also be a tea lounge, restaurant and champagne bar, as well as an 800 square metre pillar-free ballroom that can accommodate up to 700 guests.
“We feel Fairmont is an ideal match for this remarkable hotel asset and look forward to showcasing all the brand has to offer in historic Windsor,” said Marc Dardenne, chief operating officer of luxury brands in Accor Europe.
Fairmont has more than 75 locations around the world, including The Savoy in London and Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland.
Sinead Hughes, director of Grove Developments, the construction division of Arora Group, said: “To oversee such an ambitious project has been particularly rewarding, and we cannot wait to present the finished building, which with its striking design, opulent finishes and traditional exterior Jacobean architecture synonymous with the locale, will leave a lasting legacy.”
