More than 110 suppliers and thousands of travel agents are gearing up for TTG’s Holiday To Help Out week (2-8 November), with hopes the fantastic offers available from operators will help kick-start the market and drive customers through agents’ doors.
Savings worth hundreds of pounds are on offer, from luxury stays in Mauritius to Spanish beach holidays or African safaris, while hundreds of pounds worth of onboard credit is being offered across a range of river and ocean cruise lines.
All offers are detailed on the holidaytohelpout.com website, which is designed for both consumers and trade, and includes links (where possible) enabling customers to find some of their local travel agents.
The site also features downloadable window posters as well as social media assets for agents and suppliers to download.
Sophie Griffiths, editor of TTG, said: “This industry has consistently been let down by the powers that be in Westminster so we decided to take matters into our own hands to shine some positivity on travel and try and kick-start the market by driving customers through agents’ doors.
“Inspired by the chancellor’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, we hope the Holiday To Help Out initiative will create similar excitement about travel and prompt customers to go and talk to their local travel agent about booking the holiday of their dreams.”
“We all know what a challenging time it is for the travel industry,” added Brad Bennetts, head of distribution, easyJet holidays. “It’s more important than ever to work together and all play our part to encourage the booking of holidays to look forward to.”
All offers featured on holidaytohelpout.com are exclusive to this week (2-8 November) and are only available through travel agents.
